It was a big part of of our game-plan to try to speed the tempo up against them. Keep them on the field for longer drives. Do everything at the line of scrimmage. to combat that, there was a little bit of gamesmanship on their side. Some phantom injuries you might call them to try to slow us down and give them some time to recover during a couple of those drives. Check it out tonight. If the patriots get into a rhythym. And do a few drives in a row. You might see a little of that gamesmanship from the Giants.

I made sure I listed to the conversation closely between the player and the trainer. I'm not sure there was a whole lot of pain involved in those couple of instances.

Funny that the Welker drop took place right after Antrel Rolle laid down on the field for five minutes pretending to be hurt while the Vagiants took a breath and figured out what the Patriots were doing offensively from the booth after they were getting rolled over and pushed with ease down the field on a drive that would of sealed the deal. Rolle laid down in the grass clutching an injury that wasn't there for five minutes until the Pats went cold and lost their momentum.

Rolle then came back into the game 2 plays later and showed no ill-effects of his "injury". The replay also showed no such injury taking place. Jason Pierre-Paul also did this earlier in the game. The replay showed no injury at all.

I called this. I knew they would resort to this.

All teams fake injuries, including yours. That's proven, and it's not illegal. However, not all team film playcall's, and it IS illegal. Quit complaining. The Giants relied on cheating and pure luck. They didn't lose the ball on 3 (or was it 4?) forced fumbled by the New England defense. That's pure luck. On top of that they had to make a spectacle of themselves faking injuries.

Eli Manning is garbage. So is Coughlin. They rely on luck and faking injuries while they get five minutes of information from the booth. They can't win the game on the field.
